CVSN Forums

The Community & Voluntary Sector Network Forums encourages community groups & voluntary organisations to meet on a quarterly basis, to discuss a wide range of issues and concerns and raise them with the relevant local decision makers. The main outcome of this collective and collaborative working is to empower community groups, voluntary organisations and local residents and to improve the quality of life for local people.

Currently there are 6 Area-Based or Neighbourhoods Forums that covers Hammersmith & Fulham (Hammersmith Central & Ravenscourt Park, Shepherds Bush Green & Askew, White City & Wormholt, College Park & Old Oak, Addison Avonmore & Brook Green, Fulham General) and 10 Issue-Based or Community of Interest Forums (Women’s, Faith Community, Housing, Older Peoples (Over 50’s), Disability Issues Forum, Youth Forum, Children & Young Peoples, Safer & Stronger Communities, Healthier Communities, Employment Enterprise & Training).

The Fora is about meeting, discussing and dealing with local issues and concerns and especially about relevant outcomes, actions and tangible results to ensure the continuation or improvement of services to one of the most diverse community in Greater London. The Forums will continue to focus on bringing about some change to the way things are done locally and an improvement in the quality of life for local people.

Community groups, voluntary organisations and local residents are encouraged to get involved and be a part of this exciting, challenging and rewarding local initiative. This is your opportunity to voice your concerns, raise the issues that matters to your community and ensure that they are taken to the local decision makers for some action and outcomes. These are your forums; you’ve created and taken ownership of them, so your continued support is essential as we continue the process of empowering local people and improving the quality of life for all members of our diverse communities.

All forums meet quarterly. If you have any specific issues or concerns for the forums to consider, please contact Horatio Morgan on 020 8748 6345 or by e-mail horatio.morgan@vsra.org.uk
